BAND SUBMISSIONS OPEN
Would you like to perform at this year's festival? Well, we'd love it if you did, SO fill out the form. Reviewing the submissions is a serious undertaking (we had 300+ last year) so here are a few tips:
Keep it simple and make sure everything is spelled correctly. We read and listen to every submission but if we can't find your band because of a bad link or a mistyped email address, we won't have time to go digging for correct info.
If you're submitting for multiple bands, fill out a form for each band.
Once you received confirmation that you've submitted the form, wait for us to get in touch with you! No need to follow up, seriously. We'll get in touch either way.
Tell your friends!! Don't think of them as competition, think of them as your scene and you want them to get out there too.
If you want to do something that isn't a standard musical performance, we'd love that too. Fill out the form and expound on your cool ideas in the last section. We like big, well-planned ideas! If you feel constricted by the confines of our form, email paddy@wakingwindows.com and write BIG IDEA in the subject line. If you're a band and you do this you will be booed (unless your band is called BIG IDEA, in which case you've identified a loophole, congrats. And listen, don't' go changing your band's name to Big Idea because of this email. That's a bit overkill.)
